The following
quest is an optional “side quest” that rewards you with 2 prison keys. The keys
may be used to unlock the holding cell of a prisoner who is held captive within
the catacombs. The prisoner has a beggar’s bowl on the ground next to him. If
you pay $10 Lindens into the beggar’s bowl you will be credited with a Black
Dragon summon. This is not a physical token that is sent to your inventory,
rather it is a “credit” that is electronically recorded. After paying the
prisoner, you will have a Black Dragon to fight the next time you enter the
dragon lair.
You can see that
you have a Black Dragon active by approaching the area to the left of the lair
as is explained in the guide about the Black
Dragon Encounter.
When you kill a
Black Dragon, you receive a credit of 5 regular dragon kills on the kill count
database, and 1 Black Dragon kill count. Many players who are working towards
earning a dragon mount enjoy killing Black Dragons for this reason since it
will help them reach their goals towards a Dragon Mount reward much faster.

ITEM 1: GET THE DRAGON SCALE
To begin this
side quest, you will need to slay a dragon in the lair. Once complete, look
around on the ground of the lair for a large, black DRAGON SCALE. When
you find it, touch it to pick it up. You may have to zoom in quite close to
make sure you are touching the correct prim.

somebody, to get more information about it.

Fiona: You

Fiona:
(Fiona examines the scale closely.)
Fiona:
Indeed, it is a scale... of a black dragon. A black dragon is the most
dangerous of all creatures.
Fiona:
There are rumors, that this worst off all nightmare creatures was recently seen
in the forsaken catacombs.
Fiona: The
catacombs... this reminds me of a related story. The Lords of Avalon recently
imprisoned a poor man somewhere inside the catacombs for an unspeakable crime.
Fiona:
Neither can I tell you about the crime he committed, nor do I know the
prisoner's identity. But it is said, there is some mysterious connection
between the prisoner and the black dragon.
Fiona: The
prison cell was locked by two keys. Each of the Lords took one key and broke it
in two parts. Then they scattered the broken key parts in this realm.
Fiona: One
was stolen by a crow.
Fiona: One
was eaten by a dragon.
Fiona: One
was thrown into the sea.
Fiona: One
was ... oh I forgot that.
Fiona: And
forget about picking the locks, they are magically sealed and can be unlocked
only by the genuine keys.
Fiona:
Here, take this dragon scale amulet. You have to wear it, when you quest for
the lost key parts. Once you retrieve them, you have to find someone, who can
repair them.
Fiona: Good
luck and take care.

Life: Fiona gave you 'Dragon Scale Amulet'

SCALE AMULET - wear it for the entire duration of this side quest.

Sadly, it didn't fit, so I have no use for it.
Perhaps you like to spank me to get it? (giggles). No?
OK. Here, you may have it for nothing. (looks sad)
You will see a
small key floating in front of Celestia. Click the “TAKE” button in the pop-up
window.
Celestia the Siren says:

I've got to make my hair now, so you have to look for the part of
the key on your own.
But hurry up. The sea is moving and you may not find it when you are
waiting too long.
Hey! If you find anything else that fits into my... ehm... fits my
needs...
The key falls
into the water and you must quickly find it before it disappears. Jump into the
water in front of the siren. If you cannot find it, just repeat again until you
are able to find and touch the key in time to retrieve it.
NOTE: In
Firestorm you can try using “wire-look” to see the key better by typing
Ctrl+Shift+R. Once you are done, just type Ctrl+Shift+R again to go back to the

HOW TO USE YOUR KEYS TO SUMMON A BLACK DRAGON
Travel to the
forsaken graveyard and enter the crypt that takes you into the catacombs. Go
to the Forgotten King who takes the MYSTERIOUS GOLDEN CHALICE from you.
(If you do not remember this step, refer to the quest guide to Episode 1 - Part 2 - The Catacombs for more
information.) Next, give the chalice to the Forgotten King and wait for the
open doorway to be revealed.
Normally, you
would walk through this doorway and fall to the next level below, however, this
time you must stand in the doorway and jump across to the solid area across the
hall. You do not want to fall. If you fall, you must return here and try
again.
Once you
reach the other side without falling, continue down to the end of the tunnel
until you reach a holding cell with a prisoner inside. Click on the gate (you
do not have to wear your keys):

in this dungeon if you like to… Probably you don’t?
Type “dragon”
into the pop-up window and click the submit button.
Once a long time ago I chased this evil beast… Never got near to
it. Now that I learned a [spell] to lure it out of its hidings, I’m
imprisoned. God damn. I will never stop this ancient one.
Type “spell”
into the pop-up window and click the submit button.
Yes, I learned it exactly before I got caught. I couldn’t even thank
the guy for his help. Maybe I can still cast this spell. But… When I get free…
I will need to buy something to eat and drink. Or maybe some clothes… Would you
give me some coins? I was hiding a jar from my last dinner… Look behind me.
Click
“leave.”
Click on the
prisoner’s jar and pay $10 Lindens to the jar.
Thanks a lot my dear friend. I'll cast the dragon lure spell on you
for this noble gesture.
Do you like to talk to me about something?
Click “no.”
Then just leave me alone in my suffering.
When you go
to the lair to kill a dragon, step to the left of the portal and you will see
the following message:
CAREFUL: Black Dragon Active!!
Congratulations,
and may the force be with ye! :-)
